I've been planning to write a multi-chapter Druitt fic for a while now, but the level of research involved was somewhat daunting. I'm hoping to keep it as historically accurate as possible (the fact that the real Montague Druitt probably wasn't the Ripper notwithstanding). We'll see...

oh lord, every time I read a story about John before the whole serial killer incident, I just want to cuddle him.

You captured a beautiful moment of childhood, with hints of the John we see in the flashbacks, against such a haunting backdrop of things to come.

Thank you!! I want to cuddle him, too...actually, I want to cuddle him even more after the whole Ripper thing (strange as that may sound). Poor guy, life just keeps kicking him in the face.
