it depends on where she is in terms of English learning... but:

greetings first (including "I am/my name is")
family members
animals
colours
shopping sentences (how much is, can i have, where are the)

how's that for a starting point? or am I thinking too basic?

I've heard the best way is to fall in love with someone that speaks only that specific language you want to learn, but that's a little impractical.

Maybe use movies and music to help? I don't know my suggestions are probably not too helpful I'm terrible with languages.

Hey, I got your card and the other thing you included! Thanks!

If you don't know much about me, I guess you can friend me if you want! My bad handwriting and the card size doesn't leave much room for rambling, and never mind hand cramps! Heh.

Some people around here got a White Christmas - but I just got slush - YAY. Not.

Sometimes I think my memory is going now too. Maybe it's getting old (even though I'm only 31!), or because I don't keep my mind as sharp as I'd like. Still, sometimes I can't remember what I do write down - although I remember that I've written it down somewhere!

I think we do get the Northern Lights in Canada - not where I live, but somewhere else, haha.

Burning Christmas trees on the beach?! Oh my. o_O

And yes, it did brighten my day... thanks!

YaY! (:

I have friended you now. I must say I don't write much myself, but I read (and even comment sometimes!).

We didn't even get any slush! Rather disappointing I find.

Burning old Christmas trees on the beach is a great tradition - they make fire sculptures out of the trees. I believe it's better than just ending up in a landfill somewhere.

And YaY! One needs a bit more brightness during the winter, no? (:

Hey, that's good! I write a lot about what happened to me during my day, and there is a cast of characters at the top of my journal.

Yup, sounds disappointing!

I tend to agree.

Definitely! :D

Also I want to thank you for your cards! And I absolutely want to visit The Butchart Gardens now. Beautiful! (:

Hope the new year is to your liking!

*falls over*

Ahem. *sits up* Hello! :D I got your comment and a reply to my comment delivered to my inbox, so now I have those files neatly saved there! And thank you so much for seeking me out and telling me this! I will download the ones I don't yet have. And also, if you don't mind, I'll be adding you to my friends list on 22nd of March (not on 21st, due to the strike and whatnot). And I'd just like to note here that you have a cool profile and a cooler banner! (:
