UPDATE: My property has been returned to me.

UPDATE: I have a tracking number.

I did not want it to come to this, but I have been threatened by Rebecca's husband and can no longer keep silent.

I mailed Rebecca/SquirrelJunkie my blythe doll CLara in late May of 2010.  I also sent several pairs of eyechips and pullrings for her to use on my doll.  In ( Read more... )

That's ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

You do not deserve to be treated like this - by her or her husband.

And, a quick glance at her flickr account looks like she's got time to do all kinds of other crafting, so she needs to not be using her health issues as an excuse.

I hope you get Clara back soon.

that is messed up! die_girlie_die February 3 2011, 06:29:21 UTC
This whole situation sucks! I'm sorry Rebecca is ill, but then why accept people's dolls if you don't feel up to working on them? Why ignore them when they inquire about their property? You feel good enough to run your Etsy shop, do work on other people's dolls, go to doll meets, go to Germany, etc. I just DO NOT get the illness excuse. It doesn't fly.

I hope you get your doll and other property back ASAP. And I hope her husband realizes it's NOT HIS business to butt in. His wife got herself into this situation.

wow that is insane. You have been WAY more patient then I would be I can not believe he is butting his nose in and making such a stink when you and she have been talking and working toward a conclusion on your own. And honestly not to be rude but if she has Lymes Disease she probably should not have taken on the work to begin with

If you're sick, you don't take commissions. You also don't use it as an excuse to act like an idiot.

I hope you get your property back. Goodl uck.

If the two parties involved have made contact it should be left like that for now. Get your girl back - that is the most important thing. You handled yourself with good grace in being so patient to begin with and you moved things along with the milk carton post. It served its purpose in that contact was made. Forget the rest of it - it is not between you and the husband and I have acted impulsively like that in my life when I should have kept out of a situation. I do not see a threat in the emails. Involving police will escalate this. I hope you get your girl quickly and you have a wonderful reunion.
