Shop Dear Jake's OVERPRICED Dolls on Ebay

I just wanted to try to warn those of you that are getting newly into the doll hobby! There is a seller on EBAY that is under the seller name "Shop Dear Jake"  And his prices are COMPLETELY ABOVE the rates that they should be selling for! (For Example he has a Marigold LE Blythe that is on Ebay for $799!! The last one that sold was around $399).   ( Read more... )

It really is and its the EVIL sellers like him that drive these dolls up to prices no one can afford :(

If you check BDD's tags (http://community.livejournal.com/bad_dolly_deals/tag/shopdearjake) you can see ShopDearJake has had a lot of bad feedback over the years.

SDJ has numerous problems:
1) Items are not shipped via the promised shipping method.
2) Items are significantly not as described (promised in "perfect" condition, and are broken/damaged/scratched/etc).
3) Items are overpriced.
4) Shipping is overpriced.

I know there were some other complaints about him in General but I just wanted to take a moment to Point out his most recent outrageous business ethic :)

DSJ also has a practice of putting a BIN price on their auctions with an OBO.
If you try to offer a reasonable price for a doll they decline and counter with the original price stated in their BIN.
Confused you look at their auction again only to find that they have jacked the BIN price waaaaay up.

Not too scandalous in itself but when added to the list of other inappropriate business practices of this seller I am surprised they are still in business at all!
