Some idiots would probably say it was a zombuki knock-off when it wasn't.
But not all abnormal designs are made w/ zombuki in mind.

I can understand an artist asking for full payment up front, when you hear all these horror stories of people commishing then bolting. She's not alone in doing that. And she may have purchased the supplies but decided to eat the cost and just refund you full. Only she can say.

I would be very disappointed and heart broken if I were in your shoes and to have waited so long. You don't have to have a doll in hand to have bonded with it. And it's brave to stand up and share that experience. But it feels like a few of these replies are not helpful, or are even related feedback from other customers but more personal attacks on her. The rights to the Great Pullip Zombuki debate isn't really a BDD it's just wank.

I can understand taking payment before taking on a commission. But, these dolls are not being commissioned. She already has the design concept in place. When someone pays, then she makes the doll.

Since she is really only selling custom dolls, pre-paying for them seems a little back-asswards to me.

Although it is a bit off-topic, talking about the "originality" or "ownership" of a custom concept is a valid debate, since part of what you're paying for when you buy a custom is the concept. Originality/ownership are very important, imho. It shouldn't be dismissed as "just wank" -- no offense, but I think that's kind of weak cop-out.

I wouldn't really call these dolls commissions because the buyer does not have a say in the design, color scheme, or anything like that. You are paying ahead of time for a doll she would have done anyway. Commission implies you get to choose what you want. She openly says on her site that she does not take "commissions" but rather pre-orders for planned designs.

I need to clarify one more thing, I didn't bring up my issues with brigitte, so it's not a matter of communication or customer service in that respect. This posting was the first time I aired my feelings about it out. Like I said, I think it was a lot my fault for not getting clarification as the transaction never stated whether she was nude or clothed, and I made an assumption based on her website, but I wanted to point out that the non-preordered Zombuki I got did not come with all the goodies that pre-ordered ones do apparently so I didn't feel that I got my money's worth.

Brigitte sent me an email disappointed that I didn't bring this up to her first, but admittedly, I felt pretty dumb on my end of the bargain which is why I kept quiet. I just wanted to make sure people didn't think this was something she and I had discussed and she had done nothing about.

SSSSsssooo I should just wait a year and stop bitching? UM NO. I was told this doll would be to me in May/June not that I had to wait almost a year. Did you even read the whole details or are you just on a crusade to defend her? Seriously.

I posted a FM I got where she stated in MAY that she had ONE more before naka. Did you even read that? Good for you on getting your Zombuki. I didn't and was told I would get her on time. Then was given a excuse later and now I'm waiting on my money back.

I can cry over anything I want when it comes to MY MONEY. I'll sit here and tell everyone because this shit has gone on for too long.

There's an old saying : "Don't bite off more than you can chew."

Which means she should only take on as many orders as she can handle in a REASONABLE time frame. I'd rather have disappointed people who want a zombuki rather than DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMERS. Being parted with several hundred dollars for several months without anything to show for it is not spilt milk Mewskl. Its both frustrating and disappointing.
