Oh .... my... god! He is so cute I had to take a moment to compose myself there. It's summer here so i don't get to see fluffy ponies much at the moment, let alone such cuties!!! So what's the problem with Leroy?
heh, read my other comment -we still dont' know. We tried every angle the 5 of us could come up with, but the equine radiograph won't shoot deep enough to hit his hip. We did rule out pretty much everything we could treat, however, with the rads we did get, and the rectal exam. See, some previous moronic vet decided it was a good idea to walk him in a clinic on a tiled floor, knock him out cold, (after he'd fallen...on the right hip) then let him come to, on a tile floor, after crashing (on his right hip) into a cabinet. It's been recently enough, however, we're hoping, since he has made improvments with me, that he will continue to recover from....it.
I'm sorry that they were a bit inconclusive. It's not an easy spot to X-ray. Are there other diagnostic methods that you can use that might be easier or more conclusive?
It's not that we couldnt' tell anything was wrong on the rads -the xray machine literally wasnt' strong enough to get any pictures, so.... we did rule out a number of things by doing the internal, flexion, and rads of surrounding areas, though.
