(cross-posted with 4theluvofhorses, probably the last cross-post from me, promise.)

Images and some deeper commentary about the herd. A lot of images so a brief warning for those who are on dial-up like myself.

Wow! I'd love to have a Meadowbrook cart like you've got there. You are right, the shafts are way to short for your mare. You need to lower the shaft tugs quite a bit so the shafts are level not up like that. Your mare could be injured with the shafts so short and really poke her a good one in the shoulder. I have a Shetland I drive and just a welded jog cart but it sure is fun to do a spanking trot down the road. Makes me grin! You could shop around on the net for replacement shafts for your cart. Again, I'm green.

It's pretty nice. We bought it used at an auction in Cottonwood, AZ (yearly draft, cart, and "antique" auction) for a pretty good price. I had another suggest either changing the wheels or getting a drop axle to raise the cart body. O' course, the other question is can the shafts ever be too long as Panda also drives, though we've yet to try her in the cart, and she's a good hand and a half shorter than Ruby. Too bad they don't make "one size fits all!"

Hehe, sounds like quite a bit of fun! I doubt we'll be going farther than our own arena until we either get the cart so it fits Ruby like a glove, or start driving Panda.

hehe yeah.. it's too bad your pony doesn't pull! She'd be super cute pulling that cart! And, you could see over her back.. heh.
Those are some beauties you got there! Thanks for sharing! :)

I've thought about having a friend help me train her, and who knows, she might have in the past, but she's such a good little horse for lessons, that's really her main "job." *Laughs,* yes, it'd definately be easier to see where we're going with the little mare!.

Thanks!

Ah, we're not alone! It seems that I forget the size difference until they're right next to each other, though (or ride one right after the other). Thankye!
