Ah, that was so sweet, to see Gwen getting that hefty dose of reality that she so badly needed in the show, but never actually got.

I like that she was finally starting to get it towards the end, but I wonder whether it will last? She has never been good at self-confrontation, and it would be all too easy for her to convince herself that they're all just being spiteful because they're jealous of what she has.

More...? *looks hopeful*

Glad you like it. My muses demanded that the others get to say their piece and break Gwen's happy bubble.

Gwen actually take their words to heart for a while but as her wedding gets closer she'll more than likely believe that they were just jealous of the life she has and the future she's planning with Rhys.

I do have at least four more planned, one for Something Borrowed and one for Adrift and Ianto still has to find out he's immortal which will take place after the SB ep and then a pure fluff one for Jack and Ianto.

Bravo! Excellent job. I'm glad everyone got that off their chests.

Gwen staying with Jack always irked me in that episode. Good for Owen saying it should have been Ianto.

Thank you! My muses thought it was only write that everyone got their say.

I never like a lot of Gwen's actions and I didn't understand why she stayed with Jack in End of Days when it should have been Ianto. It just seemed to fit Owen saying it, Ianto will still get his chance to say his piece to Gwen.

I've always hated how in the show Gwen got away with literally everything! She was callous, selfish and jealous but Jack kissed the ground she walked on while the others... well, they had to settle for the scraps. However my disdain is not only for Gwen, but for Jack too for using double standards.
In which way Gwen could be the heart of Torchwood??? Let's say the truth, he wanted to bed her because she reminded him of Rose. That's all! She is the newbie and already second-in-command??? PUAH!!!
Heck, she proved her unsuitability with Jonas' case. And the way she behaved when Jack was... dead??? Rhys deserved better than her!

I agree with everything you said. I never understood how Gwen got away with half the stuff she did, any other job she would have been fired and out on her arse. Jack's treatment of Gwen was one of the main things I disliked about Jack.
I never say any proof of Gwen being the heart of Torchwood. She cheats on her boyfriend then Retcons him to ensure he doesn't leave her. I think Jack does see alot of Rose in Gwen but he ignores the flaws that both Gwen and Rose had.
Rhys will have his say to Gwen's treatment of him and I hope you'll enjoy the ending I'll give him.
