In the spirit of exploring this amazing ship, I thought it'd be great to discuss the meta out there on Spuffy.  What's the best Spuffy meta you've read?  What meta enlightened you or maybe helped you see the relationship in a new way?  If you have a link, please share it!

This may possibly be a stupid question, but what is meta?

I'm not sure what the accepted definition is, but meta to me goes beyond simple discussion and goes into a deeper analysis of a story - exploring themes, symbolism and long-term characterization. It's more in the spirit of an essay than a casual discussion post.

For instance, meta could be focused to explore the imagery and symbolism of hands and light in Spuffy. Or meta on the meaning and value of Spike going to win his soul. Taking the events of the show and putting a unique perspective on it.

It's to discuss the background of something. If you're not writing fic, but musing about the character's motivations or how they are brought together. What event is a metaphor for what, stuff like that.

All of the above are fabulous and I'd add the Spikecentricity reviews by SpringSummer over at The Soulful Spike Society . She's only now starting to tackle Season Six and she's very, very slow about producing them but they are gold and she manages to notice things that I haven't observed no matter how many times I've seen the episodes.
