I just had two of my textbooks delivered to my house. I bought these online since Amazon.ca offered my substantial savings over the UW Bookstore price.

CS 442 textbook
UW Bookstore: $82.00
Amazon.ca: $51.73

That's happened to me, too! I've often saved by ordering online instead of going straight to the bookstore. The only downside is it's less convenient to return books ordered online.

Yes yes, I am -quite- the fan of textbooks online from Amazon. I've saved a lot of money that way. :D
