TV nostalgia

If there's one thing that I like about the United States, it's the endless onslaught of reruns. Graeme and I have enjoyed watching "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" twice in the past week on Nick At Night. I haven't watched an episode in years, but watching it again this week has reminded me of how much I used to love the show back in elementary ( Read more... )

Bugs Bunny, Batman (cartoon), Pink Panther, Wonder Years, Star Trek TNG, X-Files. And Sesame Street and Mr Dressup if I go back further. I guess that's quite a bit, especially for someone who didnt have cable TV!

Children's show: I think I remember thinking Under the Umbrella Tree was my favourite. Oh, and Power Rangers around grade four or so.
Cartoon show: Animaniacs. I was on YouTube watching Animaniacs videos for quite a while last night, plus I have my volume 1 DVD pre-ordered. The X-Men cartoon, too.
Early 90s sitcom: Hmm... I guess I was Fresh Prince fan. But I didn't really enjoy sitcoms until the advent of Frasier. According to IMDB I would have been 8 at its premiere, so I guess that counts after all!

Babar, The Riddle of the Wizard's Oak, Readalong, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Press Gang, The Raccoons, Today's Special, Anne of Avonlea, Wishbone, Home Improvement, ST:TNG, X-Files

Definitely kids' show heavy, but that's what you watch when you have oodles of younger siblings!

(And if I had to pick just one, it'd be "The Riddle of the Wizard's Oak" - an incredibly engaging math show that stole my heart when I was growing up.)
