Story Index

It's mid-October in New York City, and there's something on the news that Jude refuses to watch about global cooling. Something about how the Earth is about to enter the next Ice Age, which he thinks could be a problem, because even though he loves snuggling with Max under lots of blankets, the apartment's heating is for shit.

He enjoys snow, though, and can be found sitting on the steps of the apartment building, letting snow flakes fall onto his head and occasionally into his mouth. He looks no more ridiculous than any random passerby in the city, surely, sitting there with a goofy grin, and rapidly becoming covered in snow.

"What are you doing?"

Jude grins even wider, and turns toward Max. "It's snowing!"

"I know that. Work ended early and everything because they're afraid the roads are going to get bad. Why aren't you inside?"

"Because it's the first snow of the season. Look at it, it's lovely."

Max grabs Jude's hand and attempts to pull him up. "C'mon, let's get inside."

Jude instead pulls Max right back down to sit next to him. "Stay here, it's nice."

"I hate snow," grumbles Max, sitting down. Jude wraps his arm around Max's waist, and rests his head on Max's shoulder - clearly not listening.

It isn't until they're both freezing and covered in snow that Jude allows them to go inside, promising that Max will find the warming up activities to be much more enjoyable.

(Because my Dad says that when he was young, the news was about global cooling. *shrug*

...that is one long ass drabble. WHY DON'T I EVER STOP?

I refuse to write again until someone writes something good for me. NOW!

Also, today I:
-Bought an AtU t shirt on ebay for $30
-Saw AtU for the fourth time
-Had no life
