Oddly enough, the whole case has almost nothing to do with Georgia and Ossetia themselves, which are just pawns and victims in big political game. But yeah I agree it was pre-planned by Russia. I think they're actually going to aim to make Ossetia de facto theirs, which totally sucks for Georgia because it'll make Georgia kinda a doughnut around it.

But yeah all America is gonna do about it is sell Georgia more armaments and give them more training.
