Over the duration of this week, I busied myself with the careful charting of the high school hierachy. I labeled it "High School Foodchain" 2007 edition. It consists of five (six) tiers: the Populars, Middle Class, Suffering Artist Branch B and the Kindergardeners, Substance Abuses and Others, (and Freshmen).  Within all branches are more ( Read more... )

I always liked the Mean Girls listing of cafeteria tables. Mainly because it's so true. (I wasn't even included in the nerdy Asian table (possibly because our school didn't have enough Asians to put together a whole table. The cool Asians sat at the AP table). I sat with the oddball nerdy outcasts. Tear.)

Tear not. I, too, am an offshoot of the Middle-Class/Nerd Category, hereby classified as Suffering Artist/Plain Jane. In my old school, we were the Nerd Herd, a frightening combination of Band Geeks and Orchestra Dorks.

Besides -- it's better than being a popular slut or model. Like kinda sucks on the top.
