The ending really shocked me, though. I knew of the Whedons previously from a brief foray into B:TVS, but I didn't know they could be so -- so gloomy, after such riabald fun.

I'd heard about this before but I didn't bother to watch it because that laugh at the beginning made me hit the White X faster than you can say 'DO NOT WANT'.

Gave it another chance though and I'm glad I did!
