AND WUT IS THE WEATHAH, TODAY, GENTLEMEN?

Well...I didn't really have an urge to listen to Obama/McCain, but as luck would have it, the battle royale between Palin, the Alaskan Hockey Mom, and Biden, the pitbull with a temper, was on this evening a la NPR.

You know, all week I was looking forward to see Palin spaz out somehow, but I was actually pretty happy that she never blanked out.

As I said on someone else's blog, I think she did relatively well. She came across a lot better than she has in the media since the convention (which is mostly her own fault, I think). But Biden's experience and the fact that he consistently gave examples of why her charges against Obama weren't true still puts him leagues ahead of her.

And there's still no way in hell I want her next in line for the Presidency.

One thing she said the made me go "buh?" was the implication that Biden stressing the flaws of the Bush administration undermined the Obama/Biden campaign's change message. Because we shouldn't learn from the past??

Oh, and that too, how she's never had to change her ideas. That was disconcerting.

Agreed. I was cautious on making to many judgements on the Soccer Mom beforehand in terms of temper, and it was definitely interesting to see that she was pretty poised...though her argument was meh.

I think she's mostly inexperienced. A good first effort, but she's facing off against a United States senator, and her state barely has over 600,000 people, which is more than Wyoming but still not enough to make the battles of debates truly epic.
