Isaac and Miria are like the antithesis of the Wandering Jew: their zest for life keeps the universe going.
My enthusiasm for Durarara was starting to flag until episode 9, when it starts to explain things (it's kind of the Advenna Avis episode of the series), but though it's no Baccano I'd still recommend it. If nothing else, watch it for the episode where they explain how the Dollars works so you can get context for Isaac and Miria being in the Dollars. It's a good gang for them!
I read somewhere that the Dollars were organized over the internet, and that some people thought they were some kind of metaphor for 4chan or something?
