I was going to ask if you could LOSE at poker and then you answered my question :) I guess I've never had Sims play it long enough to win much if anything.
LOL @ Matt crushing on Rose... pregger belly and all!
That house looks like it has potential, I'll look forward to seeing you fix it up! And good luck with the ISBI challenge... if you ever get to play it, huh. Bet this will tempt you to play your Krow Sims out of order!
Man, there are so many things I want to do with that house. XD But it's going to be ages before it looks anything like what I want. :| He needs a serious windfall.
Rose is the only sim he has two bolt chemistry with, lol, and I think that's because of her job. If he really can't find anyone I'll spawn more townies.
You must have a lot of patience to do this :) Don't you wish you could just SIMSIMSIM for days without the pesky real world interfering??
I wonder if the matchmaker ever gives playable Sims as matches. Haven't used her enough to notice but it seems kind of rude unless she always picks SINGLE Sims!
How do you handle sending sims to lots with ticket machines? Do you change the price before you end the rotation? Or do you just keep the price low? I'm still trying to decide how I am going to set that up in my hood and thus far haven't had any sims visit a community lot with a ticket machine.
Sorry, I thought I had answered this. Apparently not, lol.
I just leave the ticket machine as-is. The price is usually average, so it doesn't deduct a great amount from my playable. :) The only reason I have one is because there's no way the bar could make a living off of just having drinks available. With no stock to sell, the ticket machine becomes the stock. As Krow gets bigger, I might use the ticket machine for arcades and gyms or similar places, but only if there's no stock to sell. :)
I like the idea of my sims having to pay when they visit a venue lot, but I tend to up the price when I am playing the business so that the family can earn more money, but of course this makes it a lot more expensive for a playable sim to visit it when I am playing them. That is why I am having a hard time deciding how I am going to go about the ticket machine.
:D I love this challenge, so far. I'm working on the Patchworks at the moment, but I'm having internet issues that won't be resolved until about the 28th. So it'll be a while. :C
I don't think it's that hard, to be honest. Depending on what you sell the profit margins will differ. I found the most profitable thing to be the items you create from benches, or the pottery wheel. Selling items on markup performs less well, I find. Groceries have a small profit margin because restocking them is rather pricey, even with max discount on them. I've never tried a bakery.

Give it a go, though. They're great fun. :D
