I'm not entirely satisfied with the title banner, but I like Damion on it because it's lolworthy. Ivy, being the adventurer that she is, dragged her boyfriend to Three Lakes this week. :D Contrary to my normal style, I didn't write a lot of notes at all for this week. That didn't stop me from taking
100+ pictures, though.
Ivy and Damion have breakfast together before heading off.
They stayed at the campgrounds to sleep under the stars and enjoy the outdoors. The locals were really quite friendly.
They went on all of the tours at least once, though they aren't shown. The worst that happened was a loss of a charisma skill point... the best was a boon of $300.
And then it was home for the night! ... There are a lot of montages, sorry. :C Not many notes and a lot of sequential events.
Somewhere around here, a tour earned them the map to a secret location... Bigfoot's burrow! I've never been a big fan of sims!Bigfoot, but Vacation memories are like Pokemon. :C Gotta catch 'em all. I need to finish my nintendo games
So anyway, off they went.
The last day of their holiday, Damion called up the campgrounds and checked out.
They checked in at the nicest hotel around - Damion's surprise. :3
Annnnd the next morning it was time to go home, unfortunately. The last day of a holiday is always so weird, don't you think?
Souvenirs! They didn't fit on the shelf, so they get to live on the desk for a while instead.
Having returned to Krow on Wednesday morning, and settled into the mundane routine of life pretty easily.
I need around an extra $9,000 to afford a business lot for Ivy and Damion - but no real idea as to how to get it. I didn't want to dig, so Ivy got herself a job as a mailroom technician in business, to help bring some income.
This was followed by a quick meal of mac n'cheese before Ivy went to Omega Park - personal training would pay pretty well, right?
Yeah no, personal training pays pretty poorly - so no dice there! Ivy made sure to say hi to her brother though, since they've always been on good terms.
Back home, winter hit.
Bugger. ): I forgot to reset the season at the end of the rotation too, so I must remember to do that next time I load the game.
On the flipside, the house looks pretty cool in heavy snow... you know I'm a sucker for such things. :P
Uhm. Okay. Since when, Ivy? She immediately went on Maternity Leave, which is good in a way because at least she gets an income - but it would have been nice if she'd been able to go to work first, and get a promotion or two. They need that money for a lot. :C
Damion has a bronze pottery badge, so he got a wheel to make more things with. They need a good income somehow. :C
Ivy's second pop came during her quest to get one for herself.
A day later (I really didn't take many notes for this week), Ivy gave birth to Alex. It took about five tries to get a baby that was not brown eyed - "Business Clone" brown eyed. I suspect it's Rose's recessive orange eyes messing around in the game, I'm going to have to do some research to see if I can fix it. I don't know why it's behaving this way - her eyes have not been deleted from the game... maybe the file is corrupted? Problem is that Rose is now dead, so she'd have to be resurrected in order for me to clone her in bodyshop and figure out what eyes they are specifically. :C
Yaaaay. :|
Anyway! Little Alex, hello Alex. This kid was born on the morning of Day 6. I would have preferred a green baby but I was just happy to get a bub with eyes that weren't messed up like the four predecessors.
Jupiter, why are you here. Also, Damion spent too much outside, the silly boy.
>
Day 7 was the first day of Spring! In accordance with new butterflies and pretty flowers and that new touch of love to the world, Damion fulfilled a wish he'd had for a long time.
... and then Ivy went to work.
For Day 7's renovations, I added a wall to split Alex off from the rest of the house. It was the cheapest and easiest solution, considering that Alex will be a child in the next rotation and will need the space.
I'll probably downsize Ivy and Damion's wardrobe next week, to give a bit more space. ... Also, the bathroom and the kid bedroom should swap places, why didn't I think of that before. Oh, facepalm.
Anyway! The rest of the day was uneventful.
Damion did do some of the parenting, lol. He just didn't get into any of the pictures I took, my bad.
By sunday evening their funds were at 22,412 - sadly, the desired lot costs $29,000 so it's still out of reach. Anyway, flat 10% tax means that the household contributes $2,241 to the fund.
