It's time for some Awesimsauce, brought to you by the Confetti family. For some reason, the first 10 or so photos didn't save. :C No big deal, I
take too many pictures anyway. This was kind of a boring week - some stuff happened but nothing major/family changing.
Last week Jacaranda was born, fulfilling the requirement of having two kids. She was born blonde but I changed it to red - and at the time, there was something about it that struck me as familiar, but I didn't know why. Then I realised a few days ago - she looks a LOT like Alanna the Lioness, from the Song of the Lioness Quartet, by Tamora Pierce. Red hair, purple eyes! I love those books, I read them all of the time when I was in highschool. You should recommend them any time a teenager wants something new to read.
Silly Lupine slept through his schoolbus. I made him walk. :P
Bluebelle went to work, leaving Steven and Jacaranda to take care of each other.
Lupine came home from school with his fun meter totally wrecked, so he painted.
These are the portraits he made, by the way.
Hopefully I can keep this up for all 10 generations.
Bluebelle came home from work, she and Steven spent some time together. :3
Her hair was kind of irritating me though. :C I like the style but it's not great for picture taking.
I pottered around through the styles for a bit and finally came up with this one.
Quite sweet, no? After this Bluebelle went to the bookstore, WHICH STILL NEEDS A NAME, BY THE WAY.
I added an easel to the list of things for sale, and got them a restocker - Marion Hamilton. They've been getting by with just the one employee, but with the store now at Rank 7 (celebrate!) there's a need for someone extra, so that Bluebelle can concentrate on sales.
Matt. Matt.
Are you trolling me?
Bluebelle could you PLEASE FOCUS.
Sigh, maxis makeup. I'm not a big fan of makeup in general (it has a time, a place and a function, but I rarely intersect with those), and I don't like heavy makeup. This is very heavy to me. :C Poor dear looks a bit like a clown.
The business didn't do too badly - about $1400 profit all up, which is decent considering that most stuff is priced average.
When she came home, I had her look for a new job.
I'm pretty sure that I want to move someone else into Architecture, I just don't remember who. Brandon? IDK. Anyway, there's only one slot open so she has to give it up for that other sim. Nothing of use was on offer though, so she went to bed.
Jacaranda was taught to walk, and Lupine kept himself occupied by calling his friends.
I sent him to paint and Steven got there right before him. :C How rude.
So I sent them both to bed, lol.
The poor dear has red hygiene. They haven't got a bath, though, so not much can be done about it. Poor Jacaranda, I never think to get them a bath. The plus side is that she'll be growing up very soon, so she won't be stinky for a long time.
I do like Steven. He's rather adorable, not to mention totally bitching in that red hair. :D
I thought this was the perfect outfit for someone who will be a witch when she's older. :3 She aged a day early, because like always - if they have all their skills then I see no point in hanging on to that last toddler day. She grew up in gold, and has 4 creativity points to her name.
I can't wait to see her as an adult, I love her cute little elf nose. I kind of wish she had Elf ears, but they'll certainly carry on through Lupine. :3
She got the same bed as Lupine because it's the purplest cover I have. NEEDS MOAR CC.
She also got a purple dollhouse. I never have dollhouses, ever. Like toyboxes, they annoy me. Why play when you can SKILL? But I thought it would be a nice change.
Lupine joined her, awww. They have identical personalities, by the way. Did I mention that? It's slightly different to Steven's and nothing like Bluebelle's, but they are the same as each other. Kind of annoying, but no big deal. I don't pay a huge amount of attention to personality, which is why I never bother to give a full run down of all five attributes.
Day 3! The family shared breakfast for the first time, which I thought was quite nice, really.
Bluebelle and the kids all went off for the day. Rather than have Steven sit at home all day on his own, he joined the Business Career. It coincides with the same time as the kids getting home from school, so he should be fine on that front. I don't plan to get him to the top of the career - this is just so that he has something to do.
The downside is the sheer quantity of this:
EMPTY HOUUUUSSSEEEEE
Perfect timing, monsieur! Unfortunately, he got promoted to executive assistant, requiring 9am - 4pm. Not really what I was hoping for. BUT!
It's Lupine's pre-birthday birthday. 8D So now there will be a qualified adult at home when Jacaranda comes home, so no childcare services tyvm.
Poor Steven wants another baby. Sorry dude. :C No can do.
Lupine loves his family. <3
And then, that night! :D
Not bad, not bad. I think he has a lot of his mum's genetics in him, which is a bit unfortunate but not really because she is lovely. He turned into a Romance Sim, which actually aligns nicely with what I wanted for him. His LTW is to woohoo with 20 different sims. I've never tried it, but I think it's quite doable.
Here he is, new hair and purple-fied.
Rockin'. :D
The next day dawned rather bright and family like.
Steven's work chance card granted him a creativity point, whee! I realised too, that if I can get him to the top of his career track, then I'll only need two more Rank 10 businesses to get my Business District. GO GO GO
Home from school, Lupine breaks in his birthday present: a guitar. :D
So that she had something to do other than play with dolls, Jacaranda got a kid's table.
I'm trying to get them friends so that Steven gets promoted moar.
Day 5!
I should really remove that candle.
They all went to work/school again, hurrah for them. Steven's chance card lost ALL of his charisma points. 8| goddamnit.
Isaiah came over in the afternoon, and the two boys chilled in Lupine's room.
Steven worked to get his stupid charisma points back.
He ended up with 4 (he had 2 before losing them), since I forgot to tell him to stop. :x Oh well, needs them anyway!
I got one of these for Bluebelle.
Probably contrary to rules somewhere, but I don't care. C: She and Steven are 10 days apart, which I think is kind of sad because they are such a cute couple. So I'm rewinding her age a bit so that she matches Steven and they can age into elderhood closer together. <3
On Day 6, Lupine got his 10th creativity point, yay. :D
He went for a wander around the neighbourhood afterwards, to try and find a witch or warlock.
And to scout potential loves, too. He wasn't attracted to this townie, alas. His turn ons are face paint and charisma, which are pretty useless. I'd like his long term partner (a girl, since his randomised preference is heterosexuality) to be a romance sim too, preferrably with a complimentary LTW - something the same as his or quite similar. I want him to have kids, but having him sleep around whilst his partner is oblivious doesn't sit right with me. Best solution? Another romance sim with the same kind of aspirations. :3
He got grumpy about his hygiene so I sent him home for a pitstop, at which point Bluebelle went to work. So when Lupine resumed his search, he took Jacaranda with him.
At the Little Red Restaurant he met Laci Day, a two-bolt attraction. Good for future reference!
This witch is Chloe Nott - she turned up twice whilst he was out, and although I didn't really want him to become an evil witch, I'll take the hint.
He made friends with her but Jacaranda was quite bored, so they went home. She napped on their brand new sofa, and he called up his new friend to build their relationship.
Steven got promoted to Junior Executive, whoo!
Bluebelle got promoted too - she switched to the culinary track, so she's now a drive through clerk. She rolled the wish to become a witch, too... interesting, I think. I'm quite tempted to make all four of them into Witches and Warlocks.
Ah, why not! Make the family fun. :D
Day 7 - Bluebelle's seen plenty of witches in her time, so fortunately she knows a good one to invite over. I know that you can change a sim's alignment by studying, but it's so much faster if they just start out with the desired alignment to begin with.
... seriously? Okay, couch is going. 8|
Ugh. They need a relationship of at least 70/20 and the current score is 100/8. :C GIMME. She went home after a bit because of critical bladder need... Bluebelle wouldn't leave her alone long enough for the poor madam to go to the loo. Lol.
Then I remembered what day it was. RENO! Initially, I wasn't going to do or change anything except add new wallpaper. I ended up splitting the kitchen off from the rest of the house, wallpapering everything, and refitting the bathroom.
For some reason, I didn't think to get them a new table or chairs. Ugh. Anyway! I don't love it, but it will do for now. The kitchen kind of irritates me, I don't think I'll keep the wall. But I'll wait until next week or the week after - they don't have a lot of money at the moment.
Off to work! Not as sexy as her architecture outfits, but this is acceptable too. :P
The last one home that night, Bluebelle crept into bed totally exhausted, but with fond thoughts of her family.
Finally, the Confetti university contribution is $550, taken from their funds of $5500. The Torrisi contribution was $445, bringing the neighbourhood total to $15,956. It's getting there! :D
