Ok.
We had another check-up today, and it's not looking too good.
The doctor wants me to either supplement, or feed Hannah during the night(keep in mind, she's *just* started to sleep from her 10pm feed to her 7am feed for the last 5days..)
Her weight gain is in the 2nd centile, down from the 25th(at birth).
She's meeting ALL her developmental milestones, she's bright, alert, active, strong...everything. She's just not gaining a heck of a lot of weight.
By that, I mean:
Birth weight: 7lbs8.5oz
3 days: 6lbs12oz
13weeks: 10.2lbs(10lbs4oz? I think)
15weeks: 10lbs12oz <--that's a 2week gain of 300gms(FYI) and I *just* read that "average" is 454gms per month. I don't get it. :(
I need some suggestions.
She is fed every 3 hours, starting at 7am. She has 1.5hrs waketime, 1.5hrs naptime, until 10pm, which I mentioned, she is NOW sleeping until 7am.
How can I add a feed?
Would it be stupid to get her up at 7PM, feed her, keep her up until 8:30(normal naptime..) feed her, put her down, and then get her up at 10(or 10:30)?
I've been letting her nurse as long as she wants, and it varies from 20minutes to about..27-28minutes. So, if I got her up at 10, she'd really only be down for an hour(8:30-9 would be feeding?)...
Ideas?
Suggestions?
Should I be worried?
