“BigBang member Taeyang made a surprise confession on the SBS show Strong Heart today saying that “Last winter, I went on a blind date with SNSD member Yuri. Even now we stay in touch and are doing well.””
Jiyong got angry. He knew about that dating part and he also knew that there was really nothing between those two, but he didn’t want to remember it, but of course, Seungri had to reveal it to the world. All Jiyong wanted to do was to forget that issue, but why did Seungri have to be so damn talkative and Youngbae so fucking honest? He could have lied!
It wasn’t that Jiyong wasn’t happy about his bestfriend’s lovelife, but he preferred not knowing anything. He's just plain jealous in every girl that was linked with Youngbae.
Somehow, in this ten years of friendship, he fell in love with his bestfriend, but Youngbae didn’t know anything about Jiyong’s feelings for him. Jiyong would rather live a life full of pretentions than to ruin their friendship and lose everything they had. For him, a life without Youngbae wasn’t a life at all. So instead of confessing, he tried to support his bestfriend in everything he does.
When the news about Jiyong dating Mizuhara Kiko, a Japanese Model, spread out, Jiyong tried very hard to talk to Youngbae about it but everytime he had a chance, Youngbae would excuse himself that he was busy. Whenever Jiyong wanted to sit next to him, Youngbae would stand up and sit as far as he could to Jiyong. Whenever they were with someone else, Youngbae would act cool but once they weren’t being watched, Youngbae would walk away from him. It was pissing Jiyong off. He just wanted to clear things up with him cause Jiyong was afraid Youngbae would believe it, but Youngbae was making it hard for him. So when he was left alone in the practice room with Youngbae, he quickly stood up and locked the door. He stood at the door as if he was guarding it in case Youngbae would think of escaping from him.
Youngbae looked confusedly at Jiyong. “What was that for Ji?”
Jiyong looked at him and shrugged his shoulder. “Oh that? Nothing. I just want a peaceful talk with my bestfriend.”
“We can talk without you locking the door and standing there, you know?”
“I don’t think so. You always run away from me.”
“I’m not run-” Youngbae started but Jiyong cut him off.
“Yes you are! And don’t you fucking dare to deny it Dong Youngbae!” Jiyong yelled.
Youngbae, who was standing in the center, made a step backward. He was taken aback by his bestfriend’s yell. As much as he wanted to say something to deny his bestfriend’s accuse, he just chose to stay silent and sit down, back against the mirror. An angry Jiyong was way more scary than any dragon in the world.
Jiyong, seeing his bestfriend like that, calmed himself down. “Youngbae, can we talk now?”
Youngbae let out a sigh and nodded, still looking everywhere but Jiyong.
Jiyong walked to him and sat beside him. “The rumors about me and Kiko are not true. You should have known that I’d talk about it to you.”
Youngbae was shocked and let out a sigh. “Why are you telling me this Jiyong?”
“Because I feel like saying it.” Jiyong said as a matter of factly.
“…”
“Why are you avoiding me Youngbae? Did I do something wrong?” Jiyong whispered.
Youngbae looked down instead of answering, so Jiyong threw his head backwards, still looking at him. “Bae, talk to me please. Do you know how hard it is for me to always run after you?”
“I didn’t ask you to do that.” Youngbae answered back and Jiyong was a bit taken aback. He didn’t expect Youngbae to say that.
“But I wanted to! For heaven’s sake Youngbae, we’re bestfriends for, what, ten years and counting, and you’re being a bastard! Do you know how much I’m hurting right now?” Jiyong said, trying to prevent his tears from forming. It wasn’t the time for crying.
“And do you know how it tears me apart to see you hurting because of me?” Youngbae asked back and looked at Jiyong. His eyes conveyed hurt that Jiyong never saw before.
“Then why are you doing this?” Jiyong tried to hold his gaze.
“Because I have to forget you Jiyong.” Youngbae said firmly and Jiyong broke into pieces.
“W-why? We’re supposed to be bestfriends right?”
Youngbae was hurt seeing his bestfriend’s sad eyes so he moved closer and hugged him.
“That’s the problem. I’m just your bestfriend.” Youngbae mumbled but Jiyong heard him.
“W-what did you just say?” Jiyong pulled back and stared at him.
“Nothing.” Youngbae let out a sigh and threw his head backwards, closing his eyes.
Jiyong couldn’t take it anymore so he moved and knelt in front of him, cupping Youngbae’s face. “Youngbae, please look at me.”
Youngbae opened his eyes and looked at him. Jiyong was frozen. He suddenly believed that the eyes are the mirror of the soul, cause right now, Youngbae’s eyes were saying a lot of things that made Jiyong hold his breath.
“Wait. Does he love me too?" Jiyong thought and smiled.
"Well, even if he doesn’t, he must know what I feel for him. I don’t care anymore what will happen next. It’s worth trying. It was now or never."
“Youngbae, I’ve fallen for you.”
Youngbae stared at him as Jiyong watched the mixture of emotions passed through Youngbae’s eyes.
Then Youngbae smiled. A smile that Jiyong never once saw before and he wanted to believe it was only for him.
Youngbae closed the gap between them and claimed Jiyong’s lips.
“I’ve fallen first.”
