The last week and a half has been a whirlwind of flying shitballs. I'm so exhausted, emotionally and otherwise, that I could sleep for days. I have put most of what has been happening on filters, and when writing about it publicly I can only skim across the top, so you'll have to understand why it's a little vague ( Read more... )

Somehow I get the feeling that this won't be the last back-and-forth you guys do. *sigh* That poor kid. Let's hope she gets out of this without too much damage.

Oh I'm so sorry that Marika (and you guys!) had to go through that. I don't even know her, but I just want to give her a huge hug and tell her that it will be OK.

Marika will all be in my thoughts. I really hope that some sort of good can come out of all of this pain she's having right now.

**hugs to all of you**

No one came out to help her. No one hugged her goodbye. No one stood in the window and watched her leave. No one waved.

That just killed me.

Me too.

More so because she's so used to that shit that she didn't even look up to check if someone would be standing there...

I'm 23, and my mom still stands outside and watches me go, and then goes in the house and cries.

My heart hurts for Marika and I don't even know her. I can't even imagine what you're going through.

That quote's an interesting one. A lot of truth in it.

Oh I'm SO happy she's back. We were reading about it when you were posting, and Kyla said "let me talk to the kid, I'll tell her all about how it goes, all the tricks that she's going to pull".

A friend from work was stuck in that accident for three hours. We'd been having a good-bye party for him here in town, and he lives up-island (it's a hell of a work commute). When we got home to your status update, we were really worried that he might be involved in more ways than just stuck on the road.

I've thought a lot - a LOt a lot - about asking if Kyla could talk with her. At the very least it'd be good to hear from someone who has gone through it. I just don't know how to make it a situation that would be comfortable. Talk to me more about it on FB or email, because I think it would really help.
