Two small things

Several books, both regular and little sister, mention Charlie being on the football team...why does the family never attend any of the football games?  Also, Stacey went to private school in New York, did anyone ever wonder why she didn't go to Stoneybrook Academy or Stoneybrook Day School in Connecticut?

family: siblings, character: stacey mcgill

I always assumed that she didn't go to SA or SDS because her mother couldn't afford it.

Mr. McGill might make a lot of money, but he's not rich. Between Alimony and child support, he probably doesn't have money leftover for a fancy pants school like SDS.

Well, he wouldn't have had to pay either when they first moved to Stoneybrook, so I don't think money was really a factor then. She went back to SMS because that was part of her reason for choosing Stoneybrook.

I vaguely thought that at one point she'd said that SMS was a better system than the public schools in her zone in New York, so that was why she went to the public school when they first moved there, but I have no idea what book that might have been in or if I completely made it up.

Maybe they do off curtains? Kristy is so busy that his football games may not have entered her mind?

It's a common theme in BSC land (Dawn went to a private school, Stacey did, Shannon does etc). Maybe Stacey wanted to try private school as a lark and liked it?

I have to agree with this.

Maybe Charlie was embarassed by his big, boisterous family (especially Karen, and possibly also Kristy), and asked them NOT to come to his games?
Or didn't mention when his games were, so his family (I'm looking at you, miss Karen!) couldn't go (and invariably embarass him)? *shrug*

Because maybe in NYC, her public school would've been a really huge school. Whereas SMS, being in a small town, is like a private school already.
