Thank you for all the info! By the way, I think that in the French version published by Gallimard Jeunesse, Janine is called Jane, Charlie and Sam are called Samuel and Charlie the other way around, Claudia's family name is Koshi and Kristy's is Parker. In nerdtchose's list of Quebecois names, Janine and Charlie are called Josée Kishi and Charles Thomas. Based partly on floddermouse's snark of Dawn on the Coast, I think their Dutch names are Els Kishi and Nico Bouwman. (And in Ponybrook, Janine is called Clever Quill, and Crystal Whistle's older brothers are Wind Whistle and Coach Whistle.)
