The story doesn't really seem like Ann's writing to me. It seems less formal and a little snarkier than she normally writes.

It's credited to the Kindle editors, so maybe it's a condensed version of an interview.

Yes, they were released in March and you can also buy compilations of all 5 1st/2nd/3rd diary, and they have little personal section from Ann in the back with photos. Her non-BSC 80s scholastic books were also released last month by the same publisher.
