The covers do look nice, but the first several are definitely not the original covers. I started reading these books when they were released in 1986 so I don't know how much more "original" the covers I have could be, but the first seven or so are different from what is shown here.

I know that Hodges Soileau didn't do the covers for the original first four books; those covers that are posted are from the "updated" 1995 releases, when the books had the note from Ann M and the fill-in-the-blank pages at the back. They were all definitely done by Hodges.

Part of me is ecstatic.... the other part of me is sad because I did actually buy the rereleases of the first 8 on ebook--- I'd much rather have the old school versions.....
