Post-#100 Janine or Charlie appearances?

Hello everyone! =) I'm working on a fic centered on Janine and Charlie, and since I am someone who researches the hell out of everything before setting pen to paper (why yes, fanfic *is* srs bzns :P), I come to the hivemind bearing a question

In #107 Mind Your Own Business, Kristy!, Charlie has this new girlfriend Angelina that Kristy despises. She's upset that Charlie broke up with Sarah, and she tries to get them back together. Anyway, Charlie, Angelina, Kristy and...someone else go to a concert. Angelina convinces him to switch seats with her so she can drive, lies about having a driver's license, endangers all four passengers' lives in a car accident (and it is strongly implied that if Kristy had not been wearing her seat belt, she would've been killed), and nearly gets Charlie arrested by trying to convince him to switch seats back.

I've read this book...and it did nothing to dissuade me from being convinced that the post-#100 books were absolutely terrible :P Ugh.

Thanks for your help! =) I'm in the process of recollecting the series, but the books I don't have, I'm taking out of the library...and what better excuse than researching a fic? LOL.

Here is a list of appearances of Charlie and Janine in the books, I never realised that there was such a Charlie/Janine following! (Also, you'll have to link us to your fic when it's written!!)

For me, at least, it only happened after I started rereading the books as an adult (and being mired in fandom, albeit for other series, for a couple of years). Sometimes you don't see the possibilities until you're a little bit older than the intended audience ;)

And if there is a following, that's awesome! I've been writing for obscure series for the last year or so, so it'll be nice to have a potential audience again, LOL.

Agreed, you should definitely link your Charlie/Janine fic when you're done! I think I've only ever come across one other besides mine, and I loooooooooooove them.

I will, I will! =) It's plotted out and most of the parameters have been set...now I just have to make sure it's something that could conceivably happen and isn't totally OOC for the characters involved, LOL. Not that I mind this part of the whole research process ;)

Oh, and in #123 Claudia's Big Party, Claudia's parents go out of town for the weekend, leaving Janine in charge. Janine wants to bond with Claudia, and they end up throwing a party which quickly grows out of control.

I always like Janine, because I also had to deal with the "genius" stereotype as a kid and it does get a little lonely. Thankfully my parents were not the Kishis and encouraged me to get involved with sports (equestrian) and art instead of pushing me to do more then my grade level required. Except reading...they dropped a small fortune every month at John Rollins for books (including the BSC, of course...and the Saddle Club, Nancy Drew, Goosebumps..lol)

I think Charlie and Janine would make a cute couple, so I can't wait to read your fic! :D
