All weekend, since I got my Kinect, thoughts have been percolating in my brain comparing Dance Central (DC) and the previous king of dance video games, Dance Dance Revolution (DDR), so I wanted to commit them to (digital) paper

Your first paragraph would have made more sense if I hadn't read "Kindle" for "Kinect".

I predict the next trend will be insanely dedicated gamer kids building life-sized marionettes to manipulate in the game environment. :)

I have one of those too, but dancing games don't seem its forte.

this is really good to know; i've been curious about the new style of dance games, because i was an absolute DDR addict "back in the day".

See if you can try it out at someone's house with an Xbox Kinect. It's really pretty fun, but a hell of an investment because you need the whole Xbox and Kinect setup, plus the game.
