all dressed up and no place to go

I've got some comments to answer, a couple big emails to answer and/or compose, and some music to start memorizing, but I can do that all tomorrow. For now, there are a few things I need to get out there, and then I'm writing more of that stuff that I've been writing. (Which, no, I don't know where it's coming from, either.)

First: anyone who has ever liked Justin Hartley in any form at all should watch [this] YouTube clip. (thanks, Chad!) Also, ONTD reports that he's gotten cast in a new CW show for next year! Yay, more hotass on my screen!

Second: Just before rehearsal, I sent an email out to my interviewers from yesterday, thanking them for their time and reiterating my interest in the position. One of them wrote me back and said "we'll be in touch soon to discuss next steps". Obviously, that can have many meanings, but I am cautiously optimistic. The person in HR I've been talking with said she'd get back to me today or tomorrow, so if I haven't heard anything by tomorrow around 4, I'm going to call her.

Third: A very good actress, who is playing two of the non-lead women's roles in the show, gave me a huge compliment on my singing from last night's rehearsal. I really like her and it's clear she's incredibly well-respected among the cast, so that made rehearsal (which was really just running old stuff to clean it up) that much more enjoyable.

the play's the thing, my favorite work of art, so you'd better treat him right, two-letter network
