She's been restless here lately, finding there's so much to do around the barracks to keep things going, but not much of it things she's willing to keep doing day in and day out. She's made an effort to not go out hunting all that often, to keep Neal and the others from worrying about her. So instead of doing what she's good at, she's chosen to spend some time reading. Her nose is in a book when Neal arrives, and since her interest isn't all that greatly held by the words on the page, she's grateful to be able to cast the book aside
( ... )
He grins into the kiss, pulling back to leave a bare inch between them. "Come with me."
Neal steps back again, holding her hands in both of his own. He doesn't let go until he has to turn, and even then he keeps a hold on one hand. His path winds between the cabins to one in the hindmost row, practically snugged against the wall. The windows are boarded over, the roof gone - in its place, there are rough wooden gutters, all around the edges of where it used to be. Overall, it doesn't look like much.
He steps back with a bow and gestures to the door.
She follows along after him with curiosity, wondering what he's been up to here recently. She gapes a little at the cabin he leads her to, and she takes a few moments to take in the condition of it. No roof, but gutters are put in, windows boarded up...
She glances up at him with a mixture of confusion and amusement, not sure which she should be at this point.
"Someone's been busy." Is all that she says, and steps forward to open the door and lead the way inside.
