The door opens, very quietly, and shuts again, leaving Peter standing just inside. He doesn't leave his place there, just takes his hat off and holds it loosely in one hand.

"I thought you were going to get that thing fixed," he says.

Her eyes flicker toward him as he steps inside, for just an instant, and then she turns her attention, by all outward appearances, back to the fan.

She snorts a little at his comment, and allows herself a hint of a smile. "I was, and then I got busy." And now she's not so busy, and still staring at a rattling fan to avoid him. Because that makes sense.

He still doesn't move, just watches her and tries not to smile. If she sees him smiling, she'll get angry again. If he could remember why she was angry that might not be such a problem, but...

Well, don't need to give her more reasons to want to punch him.

"You're already in."

She sighs, drops her feet from the desk, and spins to face him. "So what d'you want?" she asks, arms folded on the desk on front of her, eyebrows raised. Her tone suggests she's assumed he's here on business - which isn't true, and she knows it, but she's perfectly willing to pretend.
