But that's what they were going to find out.
George grinned back at his twin, keeping close behind him for the moment. They had had enough of staying behind walls, no matter what size, and the woods offered the perfect challenge. And it felt right to be toeing the line with Fred once again.
"Maybe it just needs a threatening name - like the Wicked Woods."

Fred slowed a bit, trying to keep in equal step with George as best he could, but weaving in and out required single file from time to time, which meant they had to begrudgingly do so. But he always preferred standing next to his twin, because that was what they did best, how they worked best. It was hard to be a productive member of society if your partner in crime was behind or in front of you.
His lips twitched with a smirk. "Wicked Woods. Quite catchy. I've always been fond of alliteration."

Falling silent for a moment, he sidestepped a root while catching up to Fred. He still felt a twinge of guilt for somehow managing to leave his twin alone for three days. Three days of worry and unknown, and even though it killed him to not know what was happening back at Hogwarts with every passing day he had Fred. It made things bearable at the very least and a bit like home at the very best.
"Could be going about this all wrong. Who knows, they might not show up when people go looking for them."

Having George with him made being here easier. He wouldn't want to be out here in the woods with anyone else, really. Fred trusted no one as much as his twin to have his back, especially when it came to shenanigans of what might perhaps be the more dangerous sort. His favorite kind!
"Then you'd think they would have showed up with everyone just sitting around in the barracks," he replied, pushing a branch out of the way. "Won't hurt in trying ourselves first, though. Maybe they're waiting for people to come to them. Lazy sods."
