“I don’t know anything about fish and why are you asking?” His voice was lowered and slightly muted by the door. It didn’t sound terribly angry, just frustrated more or less by recent events accumulating on him. Heine didn’t have time for trivial questions even it time was all he had around there.
“Damn it, it’s too bright…get inside.” He mumbled letting his door open more as he crept behind it to avoid the incoming light. Underground he didn’t have that problem of real sunlight, not unless he went above. Here it was everywhere, hurting his eyes and stinging his skin if he stayed out too long.

Naoto didn't really expect a 'yes,' especially not after his reaction to the opened door, but she wasn't sure she could catch enough herself and she didn't know who else to ask. "I want to take care of it before it gets too dark," she added, which probably didn't help her case but at least added some logic. "I have no idea what kind of monster would live in a river, but it's probably nothing pretty."

“Aren’t there things for fishing…like nets or something…why can’t you see if anyone had one?” A hand went to his back rubbing at the base of his neck. It hurt today and due to the lack of bandages eventually he was going to have to leave it bare, but for then he was using what he had; the discoloration apparent.

Naoto was not exactly in her force-to-be-reckoned-with mode, but she clearly expected Heine to go along with her plan. After all, she'd spent a half-hour talking to a cat. She deserved a little help here.
