Mogget has also taken to skulking around and observing people, though from a slightly different angle. He looks down at Will from the roof of the empty building, sharp eyes noting the scar on the boy's arm.

"That mark isn't natural. How did you get it?"

Well, that's a little disconcerting. Since the kid worked out that he's not a cat, not even a special magical talking one, you'd think he would have some questions. But apparently not.

"There's usually a follow-up question to that," he says dryly, when it's apparent that one isn't forthcoming. "Or are you so wise that you've heard all you needed to hear?"

Will glances back up at Mogget seriously.

"If I need to know more, I am sure I will know at the right time. I thought it would be rude to ask anything more."

The cat shrugs. "As you wish."

He chooses that moment to retreat, slipping back along the roof out of sight before Will can change his mind.
