To say that everything ached would be an understatement. She didn't hurt, no, she couldn't remember falling or being knocked out or anything of the sort. But she did most definitely ache, and it took several minutes for Rapunzel to stop being dizzy and disoriented long enough to push herself to stand. The area she was in was covered with trees, ( Read more... )

Flynn, to his credit, should have been used to being knocked unconscious by now, but the funny thing about concussions? You don't get used to them. Ever. He honestly thought Blondie was developing a reflex to hitting him and even though he couldn't remember her hitting him... Well, that's another funny thing about concussions ( ... )

Hearing Flynn's voice - however whiny it may be - made Rapunzel sigh out in relief. She set out in the direction that she heard him call out to her, and was pleasantly surprised when he came stomping onto the scene before she could get too far. Before she could help herself, she was smiling, and she glanced down at Pascal to see if maybe the thief's arrival would have pulled the chameleon out of his sleep. She stared down at him for a few seconds before that bright smile of hers abruptly melted, and when she glanced back up at Flynn it was with wide and watery eyes ( ... )

Yes, it would make him uncomfortable. In fact, the mere fact that she might cry was really making him uncomfortable. He panicked, looking around for anyone who might be able to properly console a naive girl about her hopefully-not-dead frog, and then realized... Nope. He was alone here.

"Shh shh shhhh." He said, waving his hands to quiet her down. This was his... sad, sorry attempt to be reassuring here. "I'm sure he's fine! You both have just had so much excitement today after being cooped up in that tower- he's probably just tired. See?" He poked Pascal tentatively. And again. Maybe his mere existence would make the little reptile wake up.

Okay. Subject change. If only for his piece of mind, if not to take Rapunzel's mind off Pascal for a second, "Incidentally, does your castle usually turn invisible?" And... Transform the forest into a completely different forest?

She peered up at Flynn, blinking a little. She shook her head slowly at first, and then bit her lip and shook it more rapidly. "No, it's never been invisible before. At least, not that I know of. This is the first time I've ever been outside of it, remember?"

It quickly dawned on her after that point that there was something very wrong if he was asking this, and although she wanted to shove Pascal in his face and demand that he fix her best friend, she just clutched him close to her chest once again and tried to piece together the clues instead. She stared up at Flynn for a long while, and then when the light bulb went off, you could see it in her face.

She jumped back as she gave out a gasp, and brought her free hand up to her mouth. "No, we have to be close by still! We just left, didn't we? We can't be that far off track ( ... )
