Much, much more annoying.
Max tried to pay no heed to the tightening in her stomach that descended from the realization that somehow Alec had gotten here, which meant something had happened to Logan, who was supposed to be guarding him. Mild panic threatened to descend as she wondered just how fast acting that virus was. Maybe this had been a wrong turn, after all.
She struck up a fighting stance immediately, making it markedly clear that she was ready to beat his ass down all over again if he was hell bent on stopping her.
"Just for the record: coming back for seconds? Not at the top of your good choices for today," she quipped, fixing him with an angry glare. She wanted to demand to know what happened, if Logan was alright, but she sure as hell wasn't about to give him the satisfaction. If she had to see that smugass smirk one more time today...

He paused for a moment, trying to figure out which way to do this. There were several times that Max meant and often achieved kicking his ass. He just needed to figure out which fight that was.
"This is going to sound like a bit of a crazy question, but which fight am I coming back for seconds on?"

She hesitated a moment on whether to even dignify that with a response or not, but finally decided it couldn't hurt. If his answer was equally stupid, she'd just end this conversation before he could stall her anymore, if that was his game.
"The one at Logan's apartment," she said, somewhat testily. "Where you showed up to narrate."
