If you're a coffee or tea drinker who frequents a Starbucks (or other such coffee chain), consider purchasing a mug and bringing it with you on your caffeine run. Many places offer a discount for bringing in your own mug! (http://www.starbucks.com/aboutus/reduction.asp)

Oh! Yes! I already do this! I will have to add it to my list. It is such an easy thing to do. I keep mugs in my office so I have one when I need it.

Ok, sorry to burst your bubble, but my hybrid doesn't even get 50 mph. It gets about 46 on average. LOL

I am hoping by the time I can afford a new car 50MPG is the standard :)

I just got my Baggu and I love them and use them for everything.

Plant plants and trees.

Cleaning with vinegar and baking soda (I'm just starting to do this and it's hard because I associate clean with clorox clean up. LOL.)

Cook at home instead of ordering out.

I've heard of planting your own stuff to eat.

Organic is so expensive...

Oh and for 'that special time of the month' The Diva Cup. I bleed too much so I can't use it but I have a friend that swears by it.

Baggu! I have a collection of canvas bags that go to the store with me.

I don't own my house, so no trees for me. But yes, more plants!

What all do you clean with BS+V? Everything?

I don't know that ALL organic food is worth the extra price. That banana peel [that has all the bad stuff] get tossed anyways.

Diva Cup *shudders* Even after 30 years, I am still kind of grossed out by our special time of the month. I don't know if I could handle a cup full of it.

I use vinegar and water for the floors and counters and stove and sink etc... There's not a set recipe I use. I just wing it.

Baking soda I use for scrubbing. Bathtub, sinks, stains.

This is the best idea I have heard all day. This is the OBVIOUS answer to all of our problems.

You FTW.

Go veg! Or eat less meat at least. Check out stuff like this, it's pretty crazy.

If only I could go veg! I don't like vegetables enough /o\ They are too bitter for me. I would end up eating all my calories in carbs.

I maybe eat read meat twice a month? Maybe? I don't have the numbers handy, but something crazy like the grain to feed 1 cow = grain for 1,000 people. Or something crazy like that.

I don't like that there are hungry people in the world, but I do think it is more complicated than just getting surplus food to them [instead of animals maybe]. Some areas of the world over produce crops, and some areas of the world under produce crops because of soil/environment conditions, and simply traveling food there won't solve the problem of perpetual hunger and poverty. And that is sad, and I wish I had an answer, but I don't.
