Christmas In February
Elle and I exchanged Christmas gifts today. I know, Christmas was over a month ago. It's a long story, and even if I wanted to take the time to tell it, I couldn't because I don't know all of it.
Anyway, I got her a book, some DVD's, some lady stuff, and a couple of stocking stuffers. She got me some books from my Amazon wish list, specifically

"I'm sure there have been a lot of times when my brother or sister briefly considered getting it for me, but then formed the mental image of me holding up a biography of Pol Pot on Christmas morning and going "YAY!!!!". That probably dissuaded them."
...I can certainly see why that would be disturbing. I'm sure it would be an interesting, if extremely painful, read, though.
Also, I wonder if David Horowitz has seen that documentary by Evan Coyle Maloney.
