Possible Mandatory Hiatus

My laptop crashed and has refused to boot up since yesterday.  I've tried everything, but it starts and crashes before start-up can be completed.  I suspect either the Operating System or the hard drive is buggered

Oh man sorry to hear about your laptop. I know how you feel. Keep my fingers crossed that repairs go smoothly and you'll be back I business in no time!!!

Mine had a audio problem and spent almost 2 weeks being fixed

I'm glad they were able to fix your laptop, hun! They've become such a necessity, haven't they? I felt so lost without mine. ;-)

I know I should say, "Oh, you poor thing, I'm so sorry!". However. As I have just gotten internet again, having landed a nice 2 hour drive from you for the next month, what I will instead say is this:
"Well, since you can't write fanfic, now you have lots of free time to come visit me! Woo-hoo!"
Oh wait, that sounded a bit selfish. Ummm, trying again:
"Don't worry a bit- you can totally borrow MY laptop when you come visit me!" And did I mention you can come visit me?

Sorry about your laptop, petal. It's awful when they break- you feel like you've lost an appendage when you don't have your laptop, I know. But at least it can get all patched up, and then you can get back to being the Ficcie Queen that you are. *g* Till then, we can console ourselves over some Thai food at the Churchill Arms in the next month, if you're up for it. Just let me know when you want to get together!

I see what you're doing, you sneaky wench! :-P We're getting busy at work, but I'm hoping I can carve out a weekend and a day to come play with y'all. :-)

*hugs* Thanks, Vicky. They've done a temporary fix, so I'm working hard to try and update all 4 stories I have on the go before it needs to go back for a main overhaul. :-)
