I always wondered why it never occured to anyone that Chloe's or Clark's blood and abilities could be the miraculous cure for many people suffering from terrible diseases. Or even Lex's blood, for that matter, considering he's immune to pretty much any disease. Seems so obvious!

Too true. Captain Concussion recovered from every single injury/illness/gunshot wound, and no-one thought to analyse his blood? FAIL.
