I'm always terrified when I update this story, because

(1) I always feel I can never quite capture Lex as well as I ought to, and

(2) Writing the whole Clex dynamic is pretty much out of my comfort zone

But comments like this are why this story keeps getting longer and longer, despite my best efforts to keep it short! :-P

Whew, that was intense. I have the feeling it would mean more if I'd seen S9, but I know enough to know that the Phantom Zone wasn't the way it went down, and they did find the Book of Rao. I also know that Clark was felled with a BlueK dagger, although I was hoping we were going to skip that part. Lex is going to go ballistic.
