Good News!

Because I was unable to make good on my promise to deliver Chapter 2 yesterday, I worked twice as hard today and was able to crank out Chapters 2 and 3. Hope you like 'em!

Well, weren't YOU a busy girl! Two chapters! This is a delight and I'm glad to see Clark getting some comeuppance for his actions. Payback IS a bitch, isn't it, Clark?

Is it ever! I always feel a need to make Clark suffer in my fics, because on the show he gets away with far too much. It hurts me to do it to Chloe, though, but the story demands it. Don't worry - I'm not PS3, and I don't have Dawn Ostroff breathing down my neck. There WILL be payoff! *shakes fist*

Awww, this goodbye scene was lovely. It was so true to their characters, as well- both of them trying to be brave but crumbling inside. You captured their feelings for one another beautifully!

"“What are you suggesting?” she heard the first woman’s voice.
Chloe heard him speak in crisp, brisk tones.
“Break it.”
