Christmas Eve

~ We cooked 2lbs of bacon; some for breakfast tomorrow morning, some for pizza tonight.

~ Chickens have been defrosting in icy water all day and are now tucked in a roast pan in the fridge.

~ Kim got called to work at noon today; she will be home at 9, she'll open her Christmas eve present and put out her stocking.

Just a week or two ago, a local friend of mine posted a video of her pregnant daughter performing a drama/dance to this song at the daughter's churches' Christmas program...it was beautiful. I love that this song gave you strength during those dark, difficult days with a tiny baby :).

Even with all the good things that happened today, I was still a disappointment. Mary was a disappointment to those who didn't understand her, or have faith. Look what happened because of Mary's faith. Thanks. I'm having a cathartic cry, I'll be OK.

You mentioned Amy Grant, I'm currently in love with "I Need a Silent Night." I got the CD from the library and the liner notes said the song was written after dealing with the Christmas traffic at the Green Hills Mall. In Nashville! The mall where I'd take my nanny kids for story time at the bookstore! So now I love the song even more. :)
