I nursed Charlotte just before I went to bed and then Jack took her while she slept, and left me to get some sleep before she woke up.  When Jack handed her over at around 2 in the morning, I took her and tried to nurse her and settle her back down to sleep ( Read more... )

Gads, I remember those days. All three of my kids are within 4 years of each other- the first two are 11 months apart. I was a busy mama who did not sleep for a few years! But it is nice now that they are older. I can go to bed before they do (tho I do occasionally worry about my middle daughter sneaking out) and sleep in later then they do. I never thought the day would come to be honest.

"Eat 'em while they're young and their bones are still soft."

I've always liked: "There is a reason they eat their young in the wild"

I can completely relate, my youngest is 10 weeks old and we are just getting into a good routine and I completely agree no sleep in better than disturbed sleep. I would get soo out of it from trying to sleep and being woken up there was a few times my husband even had to help me feed my baby lol Life will get easier everyday and just to make you feel a bit better my baby would only sleep in 30 min increments at night, it was feed, burp, change diaper feed, burp, nap, feed, burp, diaper, feed, burp, nap lol I am soo glad we are past it and at 10 weeks old she sleeps from about 10:30pm-8 am every night. Woo hoo for some sleep :-D
