I had to work this morning and Jack was off work so I told him, "If you check the mail and the letter is there, open it.  If it's good news, bring it to me at work.  If it's bad news, I don't even want to know it arrived until I get home from work."

I watched the clock in the morning and couldn't resist calling home to see if he'd checked the mail

Facebook doesn't do much for us, but I sure wish I could *like* this post (not the bits about the letter, mind you). Wishing Charlotte a very happy birthday, and a fun party tomorrow!

I love that photo (though I'll admit, for a moment I thought it was of Abby and wondered why I had never seen it before!) in your icon.

Happy happy birthday to Miss Charlotte, and happy Rainbow Baby day to you, too J. I remember calling you, and getting updates from Jack, and feeling like a useless tit, wishing that I could be there.

Sorry you are sick. Sorry about the crappy lack-of-mail. I am hoping and praying and finger-crossing, for good news, for all of us, early next week.
