We all have a head cold.  Good thing there's lots of soft kleenex in the house, but I hate mouth breathing.

I went to bed at a respectable time last night because I was exhausted, but my beloved husband stayed up and finished the laundry while he watched tv.

Jack's dad mentioned something about how he'll be "gone" soon.  Not sure if he meant death or ( Read more... )

The more I think about it the more I realize that should my husband pass away no one will be able to write a meaningful eulogy, including myself. My husband's childhood, teen and even his young adult years is not something that I know a great deal about (I know only pieces). Just yesterday I was thinking I should get him to write a "story" about himself until our wedding -- everything after that I could write about.

Yeah, that's where siblings come in handy I guess because they can fill in parts of your spouse's childhood if you don't know much. Either way, as scary or depressing as it is to think of our own mortality it's a good idea to have a few of these things done or decided before you go, and to keep them current! The flowers I'd like now may not be the ones I want in 40 years - LOL!

I have said the exact same thing WRT funeral stuff. I have already started making little notes of what I'd like at my own service some day.
Thinking of you lots as you are going through this tough time.
