a summer Sunday update

It's Sunday; I would normally be doing some scrapbooking while the laundry tumbles around in the machines, but my basement is still a total wreck, my scrapbook stuff inaccessible, and the laundry is all caught up.

Jack is back to work today so I can't finish the few things that need to be done in the basement.  It takes two of us to move my desk ( Read more... )

Hi Janice! Your basement looks great!

Just wanted to introduce myself; I've actually read your public journal for years (my old journal, I'm one of Dina's friends), but with new journal I decided to go ahead and friend you and stop lurking. (it's kind of rude of me, I know, but I'm neither mama or midwife and I feel shy about adding friends from this group on LJ).

Anyway. Not a creepy stalker type, just new journal and new face and hoping for a few new friends too.

Welcome, and thanks for delurking :-) I'll friend you too, if you don't mind. Most of my entries are Friends Only or filtered these days. I've also started blogging at Dreamwidth under the same username, crossposting here.

I haven't written much in new journal so if you want to know anything just ask. My entries are sort of boring; I'm living in a new town far from friends with my husband who works nights, so it's not like I'm exciting. I'm also trying to manage BPD via group therapy right now so I write about that. But it's wonderful to finally really connect with you!

Ooo... I like the paint. When you were describing it before, I imagined it as a much darker color, and was thinking that it would be so oppressive. But it's totally the opposite! Can't wait to see the finished product!

It does look darker in person, but it's not TOO dark - a grape purple with a bit of pink in it - yummy :-)
