Seriously... if you need a new car, go to Craig's List, and check in your area... I know down here in SD, used cars go for the $5k to $10k, but on Craig's list, you can get a quality used car for between $100, and $1k. I just bought a 4WD Rodeo, in perfect condition (it's a '95) for $1100... they guy originally was asking $2k, but nobody was buying, and so I made him an offer of $800, and let him talk me up (I was willing to pay $1500 for it... but hell...) It was that much because it was a considered a van.... cars are much MUCH cheaper... find two or three you like there, and go test drive... and remember, if you buy one for say $500, and it craps out on you in six months, it's still a bargain (especially since you can usually get about $200 to $500 from a junk yard for it once it craps out... I would suggest selling off your poor dead little car to a junk yard... it's a bit of cash you normally wouldn't have, and it's better than abandoning it... it's like being an organ donar for a car)
