I read somewhere that Mandy Moore and Zach Braff broke up. Please, softeranswer, say it ain't so!

OMG, last night's Hell's Kitchen included a field trip to Pink's!!! As soon as Gordon said they were going to one of L.A.'s most successful restaurants, I knew they were going to Pink's. I'm not a big fan of hot dogs, but Pink's makes the most delicious & ( Read more... )

Speaking as one who has spent the last several weeks negotiating potholes and molasses-slow road repairs... GAH!

Huh, haven't actually had time to read any reviews.
I'm currently not on speaking terms with the NY Times, because I get home delivery and haven't gotten the TV guide thingy in weeks!

Have a Guinness for me... it's too hot and too late for me to go get any now. *g*

Dude, nothing can out-lame CalTrans. I realize we've got a lot of roads for them to repair, but is it wise to shut down a major connector ramp in the middle of the week, just as summer vacation starts out here?

I'm torn on the new Supes. (But I'm firm in my belief that he's not hot or handsome enough for the role. Not like the guy in my icon.) And, for once, it's not my Bosworth hate that's blinding me. But I got a free voucher thingy in my Justice League DVDs, so I'll probably see it ;)

Dude, it's never too hot to enjoy a Guinness! Though I have to agree that it can be too late in the night/morning.

It's only too late because the 'all night' supermarket is laboring under the misconception that a day is 16 hours long.

Anyway, now it's Wed. and the store is open!

I think the rationale behind delaying road work has something to do with kids being out of school. Not wanting to delay the school bus or some shit. WTF!
Makes no sense to me!

I don't understand why, esp. in California, they'd delay major road work until the summer. Because we're not known for taking road trips or attracting lots of tourists, right? ;)

OMG, I think the 710 is cursed. Driving home (I avoided "the bad lane"), the northbound (luckily, my opposite) side was closed down for about 5 miles. Dude, it was 12:45 a.m., and the supposed SIG alert was at least 5 miles before the closure!

Totally unrelated to this post but...what are the dates you're going to be in this neck of the woods?

Gah, I keep forgetting to e-mail you and take care of those other things for you. I get in late on the 6th (Thurs.) & leave early on the 12th (Wed.). The Molson race is on the 9th (Sun.), but Best Friend (ha, you'll finally learn her name!) thinks it'll end early-ish enough for us to do something afterward.

Our only must-do adventure is the Hall of Fame, but we haven't picked a day. So we're yours whenever you're free! I'm thinking that we'll have to get drunk & do some karaoke, but my preferred day (Sat.) won't work for her. She won't get properly drunk the night before the race.
